With extensive experience working with high-end brands as a team leader and strategist, I help companies acquire more customers, build their brand, and generate revenue.
Working closely with company stakeholders, I walk through the business model and customer conversion funnel to identify opportunities and challenges. Projects are then defined and prioritized into a strategic roadmap to achieve the company business goals.
I have lead enterprise-level implementations including content management systems, e-commerce, CRM and ERP integration, analytics, app development, and marketing automation.
I am also an accomplished UX strategist and creative director — providing me the unusual ability to communicate clearly with all experts within a development team, while keeping clear sight of the overall strategic goals of a project. I am enormous asset while leading teams, bring a breadth and depth of expertise to the table with a management style that is calm, friendly and focused.
I have worked in variety of industries from action sports companies, to technology, biotech and finance titans and non-profits for such companies as Taylor Guitars, Intuit, Microsoft, Becton-Dickinson, and Tavarua Island.
Additionally, I hold degrees with honors in both Biology and Fine Art and am a published neuroanatomist who loves to surf.
How does a guy who used to run a neuroanatomy lab wind up at the center of Jetty Extracts’ digital marketing team?
At the UCSD School of Medicine, I researched neurons. It was fascinating stuff. I loved it. Soon, I was published.
Then something happened. I discovered that while I’m passionate about biology, I was less passionate about biology as a career.
I took a leap, changed everything – and put the more creative half of my double-major to work. Scientific illustration meant I could pursue more passions: Art, science, digital design – and an increasing obsession with the internet. How it works. Its applications and evolution. The timing couldn’t have been better. The internet exploded, so did my brain.
I feel like I was born for this. I’ve never looked back.
Center to my personal life in San Diego is my wife and two girls. Woven amongst the four of us is art, surfing, code, film, travel, good food – and an amazing assortment of inspirational characters we’re happy to call friends.
